Building of the new library
Well, I found myself in completely new life situation. I have been living and working for last four years in quite different world, beautiful country, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. I got used to it and found the place to be easy and comfortable for me. Despite having there quite stable life, I realized, I must do game changing decision. Getting out of the comfort zone, leaving of decent income with building the financial "pillow" for future and start living the new, unknown stage.
Turning those old childish dreams into reality. Travel the world. This way I want to create humble documentary of my journey, same as to make something good for others. You can find out more about my cycling adventures in my blog and under charity my other project. Let´s explore.
First serves myself personally, as I can feed my passion about travelling dreams throughout the pedalling like a nomad. Every day new impressions.
Second meaning is abstract. Via biking I might serve to something bigger, more valuable, less selfish. Helping creating even little dream for other people, for those who still dream. Dream is motivation. Motivation makes us grow.
Reason?
When I was kid, I loved spending time by reading books about travelling and big adventures. This provoke my fantasy. How I wished to be one day one of these brave "Marco Polos" and learn about the Planet Earth.
I personally consider the best way, how to travel the world, by using the bicycle. With the ideal speed, head little higher, covering decent daily distance. It gives flexibility, allows freedom. Simply, home on the way, life between two wheels. It is time to find new horizons.
Why YellowBikeAdventures?
Yellow is my favourite colour. Yellow is sun, enlightens new day, gives life, energy. As I was younger, my hair was blond, so I deserved funny nickname "Tweety", same like the yellow cartoon canary. With yellow colour you can highlight, mark, better memorize. Could there have been any other choice than to have new yellow bike?
While working in the hospital and with injured people, I always gave myself question, how to extend this help. Reflecting my fortunate determination, good living standard and resources, I wanted to help those, who have very little or nothing. Those most vulnerable are kids.
My first journey to Kenya taught me this lesson. If I can positively influence even one life, one sole, this effort was worth it. I did myself privately donations to two orphanages in Nanyuki-Laikipia county and one Baby Life Rescue Center in Mombasa. This experience had huge impact for my willing to continue. I want to provide more for them through fundraising. More under "CHARITY".
Beside charity focusing on orphanages, I want to support very valuable and great project of my close friend. This topic is also closely connected to abandoned children, because as result this can lead to this sad ending. He is opening one of the taboo, problems, which are in any country, but most of the time are not spoken out. They stay hidden. It is violence against children. His campaign littlebeing.org provides detailed familiarization with this issue from many perspectives and tried to find solutions, where to find help. You can find more under page: "LITTLEBEING ".
