About the center...
The story told from the owner, director and also founder in one person, Mr. PETER MUTUA (together with his wife, SELPHER), was very deep and touching. In year 2010 he established "from nothing" heaven on the earth. The place, where good soles spread their arm and with opened hearts give love to all human beings. There were few places in Mombasa providing help to abandoned babies (newborns, infants or toddlers). Despite struggles and nearly no resources on the beginning, there was strong willing to build up this sacred place. With help of others, Baby Life Rescue Center grew further, moved to new building with more space and continued in their mission. Compared to other two centres, here are much younger babies with their specific needs. Appreciated help would be:
- food as porridge, puree, rice, banana, lentils, milk etc.
- nappies, wet wipes, baby powder, hygienic supplies

Word about the visit...
While being in Mombasa, I wanted to visit another orphanage. I got inspired by the name of one center listed in Google Maps, "Candle of Hope". I jumped on the tuktuk and headed there. To my surprise, there was no such place. However, by chance, in the isolated street, I turned back and saw the sign on the small building. "Baby Life Rescue Center". Even though I aimed to helping older kids, I didn´t hesitate and grab the oportunity. Universe always sends "it" how it should be. I accepted. I knocked the door and in the moment kind woman opened with smile on her face. "Come in".

I entered. On the floor, on the coach, literally everywhere there were babies and young kids. I was overwhelmed. Director of the place gave me time to talk about their organisation.

In less than hour I already volunteered. Due to my profession I was asked to assist and help some disabled kids, while teaching the staff new rehabilitation techniques.

Later, I came several times to provide food and some equipment for the feeding those youngest.
